MAYBELLINE LIMITED EDITION REBEL BLOOM COLLECTION

Hey guys! Today I'm bringing you the MAYBELLINE limited edition rebel bloom collection. This was an extension of the permanent line of Rebel Bloom lipsticks. These started popping up in select stores in late spring, and they were extremely hard to find. I only found them in maybe 3 stores and not every store had the entire collection. I was able to pick up 3 of the 4 lipsticks. The last lipstick I couldn't find was a bright tangerine color. I also was able to grab 2 of the 4 color tattoos. All of these were varying shades of purple/lavender. I do believe there were also 2 shades of matte cream blushes but I never got to see those in person.

First lets talk about the packaging. It is the typical square Color Sensational tube with a bright pinky/lilac cap. Absolutely adorable. My favorite they have come out with. All of the Rebel Bloom lipsticks just scream spring and summer! The number and name are displayed on the bottom with the color swatch so they can be easily distinguished in your drawer. They also have the typical "play dough" smell all MAYBELLINE lipsticks seem to have.

The first color up is 975 PLAYFUL PEONY. This color is a bright light carnation pink with a blue undertone. I would say it is almost the color of Pepto Bismal. It glides on smoothly with no
patchiness. A few swipes and you have full opaqueness. It was very comfortable on the lips and

lasted a long time. My favorite out of the three.

The next color up is 970 CARNATION CABERNET.  I would describe this as a berry/plum color with a slight hint of fuschia. Although this color was smooth to apply, the color was extremely patchy and hard to get an even application. It didn't last as long as most colors in this range and because of the patchiness, it wore off extremely unevenly. You definitely need a lip liner with this one because it
tended to feather outside the lip line very easily.

The last color up is 965 BUBBLEGUM BLOOM. This was my least favorite of the three. It is a frosty baby pink color with silver-ish specks of glitter. The pigmentation is horrible on this color. It is extremely sheer even after you build up the color. It was hard to apply and you can feel the glitter specks on your lips. The more you try to build up the color, the more glittery it becomes. This is definitely a color you would need a lot of reapplication with. It may look nice as a topper to lighten up a darker lipstick, but not an on its own color.

I purchased these lipsticks at Rite Aid for $7.19 each. You get .15 oz of product in each tube.

The next thing I picked up was two of the 24hr Color Tattoos. I was only able to find two of these and I'm not sure what the other colors looked like. These retailed for $6.99 (I believe. Not 100% sure) and these were also purchased at Rite Aid. You get .14ounces in each pot.

The first color is 120 PETUNIA PUNK. This is a very light lilac/lavender color with a silver/pink shift. I wouldn't say it's a duo chrome, but more of a opalescence shift. This color is extremely sheer with very little color pay off. It is not buildable whatsoever. I found the more you add to build the color, the more of the product you actually remove. I have a pretty light complexion and I was very disappointed with the color payoff. The color is beautiful in the pot, it just doesn't translate to the skin. It does dry down to a budge proof finish that is extremely long lasting with minimal to no creasing. I would recommend using this as a base for a very light lid color. It may be the only way to get some color out of it.

The last thing I have is 125 HIBISCUS HEARTBREAK. This is a bright lavender color with a pink duo chrome. This color starts off sheer but is very buildable to get the desired intensity you are looking for. My favorite way to wear this is with MAC Vanilla pigment. It looks like a gorgeous mix of white, pink, and lavender. Excellent lid color. This one can be worn alone as well as an all over shadow. It dries down to a budge proof finish with minimal to no creasing on me (I have pretty oily lids). I was very impressed with this color and glad I found it to add to my ever growing collection

Thanks for stopping by today. Leave me your comments and feedback in the box below and let me know what you picked up from this collection. If you have any suggestions for future reviews, leave them there as well.

MAC WASH & DRY COLLECTION

HIGHLIGHT POWDER   .03oz, $35.50
POWDER BLUSH   .21oz, $24.50

Hey guys! Today's review is on MAC's WASH & DRY Summer Collection. This collection was available online May 14th and hit stores May 21st. This collection consisted of 4 lipsticks (2 permanent, 2 limited edition), 2 LE powder blushes, 4 LE lip glasses, 4 LE technakhol liners, 3 LE Veluxe Pearlfusion eyeshadow trios, and 1 LE highlighting powder amongst other things. In addition to LE products, there were also a few from the permanent line with LE packaging.

The packaging itself is absolutely gorgeous. It is a bright teal, coral, and yellow ombre. All of the product names have something to do with laundry (ex. Steamheat, Crisp Whites, Freshen up, Tumble Dry). I think the names are so cute.

I wanted both blushes and the highlight powder from this collection. I ended up picking up one blush online (the other was sold out) and I got the highlight powder in stores. I tried for the other blush in stores but my MAC counter only received one of the blushes.

Left: Highlight powder in Freshen Up
Right: powder blush in Crisp Whites

Crisp Whites is a beautiful peachy apricot color. Perfect for the spring and summer time. It is a Satin finish with no shimmer or sparkle. It has a bit of chalkiness when swatched with your finger, but it
doesn't translate to the cheeks. It is highly pigmented and blends out nicely. It can been worn lightly
for a sheer wash of color or built up for a more pigmented look. As with all MAC blushes, it has a great wear time. I hardly ever have to touch up a MAC blush.

Freshen Up is the highlighting powder. It consists of 3 shades. There is a gold overspray over the top of the colors, but once you break through that you get the real color payoff. The first color is a vibrant coral color. I would say this color would lean more towards a blush color than a highlighter. It is extremely pigmented. The middle color is more of a peachy color, and the last color leans more on the gold side. I love than you can use the colors individually by concentrating your brush on one specific color or swirl them together for a peachy gold glow. They are not overly shimmery highlighters. I would say they give you a "lit from within" glow. You do have to use a light hand with this or you may get too much product at once.

MAYBELLINE COLOR SENSATIONAL 100TH ANNIVERSARY LIPSTICK IN PURPOSEFUL MAUVE

(RETAIL $7.19)

Hey guys. Hope you are having a wonderful day. Today's review is on the Limited Edition 100th Anniversary Color Sensational Lipstick in Purposeful Mauve. This collection was brought out with some limited edition products as well as some permanent products with limited edition packaging. I have seen a few displays with different things in them, so I'm not entirely sure what is in the full range.

There are 4 lipsticks in this collection ( 800- Strike A Rose, 805- A Purposeful Mauve, 810- Magenta-bulous, 815- Coral Cocktail), all limited edition shades. The color I chose was Purposeful Mauve. I purchased this at Rite Aid for $7.19. I'm sure the price range will differ depending on where you purchase it. I have seen this collection in almost every store where Maybelline products are sold, although the selection of products may differ.

It has the standard Maybelline color sensational packaging with a New York skyline artwork around the whole lid. Very sleek and cute. A "100" is also in one of the buildings to signify their 100 year celebration. The lipstick itself is a pinky nude color with a brown undertone. I would say it is a crème formula with no hints of shimmer or glitter. It glides on with ease. No tugging or pulling to the lips. The color is opaque with just a few swipes but doesn't look or feel heavy on the lips. It has a slight glossy effect when applied that gradually fades over time. I got around 4-5 hours wear time with this lipstick, which is what I normally get with others from this line.

I would say this is a must have in my book, if you can get your hands on it. The Color Sensational line is one of my favorite lipstick lines from the drugstore, and they rarely disappoint.

NEW WET N WILD SILVER LAKE NAIL POLISH COLLECTION 2015

( .045fl ounces, $1.99)

I was browsing the beauty aisles of my local K-mart a few weeks ago and spotted these beauties. The Wet N Wild Silver Lake Limited Edition Nail Polish 2015. I hurried and grab one of each color since they still had all 6 of them in stock. I couldn't wait to get home and try these babies out.

(L to R: Wear Skinny Jeans, A Latte Love, Reject The Mainstream)

(L to R: Warm Filter, Stream of Consciousness, Tree Hugger)

Warm Filter is a beautiful warm coral/salmon color. 2 thin coats and you're good to go. Very opaque.

A Latte Love is a cool creamy beige color with just a hint of a pink undertone. 2 thin coats for this polish as well. Slightly streaky when applying.

Stream of Consciousness is a VERY sheer iridescent baby pink. I had to do 3 coats to even get this color to remotely show up, and even then the pigmentation wasn't that great. This color is a pass in my book, unless you use it as a topper over another polish.

Reject The Mainstream is a cool toned lavender with a baby pink undertone. It is more on the pastel side. Covers great with 2 coats. Very opaque.

Wear Skinny Jeans is a cool toned periwinkle color. It has the faintest hint of micro glitter in it when applying it, but it doesn't translate on the nails once dried. 2 coats for this polish as well.

Tree Hugger is a cool toned sage color. It is slightly on the pastel side. 2 coats for this polish.

Over all I thought this was a pretty great collection with the exception of Stream Of Consciousness. Great additions to my spring/summer polishes. I purchased these at Kmart, although I have seen them in Rite Aid as well. Remember they are limited edition, so if you see them, don't wait to pick them up because they may be gone!
